Arriving in Romania

Hello beautiful people who read this.

I am Özge from Turkey and currently I’m a volunteer in Nevo Parudimos Asociation for an EVS project (V for Volunteering). And this blog is going to be what I am experiencing in this process of the project. Hope you all can like it. Thank you for reading.

I would like to start with my first week here. Because it was quite strange for me. Because Romania is my first country that I am travelling. Because of this it was a bit diffucult week. But thankfully our coordinators didn’t put us to in the middle of the activities. Because it would’ve been difficult. They gave us the oppurtinity to see what other volunteers doing in the schools and other places.

Even in my first week I went to the iceskating. It was amazing because before i’ve never tried to do it. Still actually I can’t. In the below you can see how I am excited and not trying to fall. It was amazing to see how other kids could do it wonderful and in balance.

When the activities started I was shy a bit about playing kids, because before I was just playing with my nieces as a kid. But after spending some time and weeks with kids I got the idea how can I be a friend with them. Of course there was a language barrier but nothing can be against if you want to find the connection. And thankfully some of the school teachers help us beacuse they are really cute people<3

Stay tuned, I’ll be back with my On Arrival Training writing!!!!
